The New Toyota Vios GRS: Review

Stylish and reasonably priced, the Toyota Vios GRS offers drivers unadulterated fun on the road. It is a practical car that is also enjoyable to drive. If you want a reliable and fashionable automobile but can’t quite afford a high-end sports model, the Vios GR Sport is a great option.

Since 2002, Toyota, a Japanese car company, has been making the Vios line, which is aimed at the Asia-Pacific market. The Vios is now in its third generation, and each car sold in a different country has slightly different specs and features. The Latin word “Vio,” which means “to move forward,” is where the word “Vios” comes from.

The GR-S is unique because it was made in Malaysia and is the first GR-S model made there. It also has a Manufacturer Suggested Retail Price of RM95,284 which is not too high (USD 23,466). So, Malaysians can get a GR-S at GR Garage stores and Toyota dealers taking part in the Vios Challenge.

Performance

The Toyota Vios GR-S has a 1,496cc DOHC engine with 16 valves, VVT-i, and 4 cylinders in a straight line. The GR-S has 107 horsepower and 140 Nm of torque, just like most other cars in the Vios series. It has a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) with 10 speeds, which lets it cruise in the best power band when the sports mode is turned on.

The GR-S can go from 0 to 60 mph in 9.9 seconds, which is much faster than most of the other cars in the Vios series. It can go as fast as about 125 mph, and its gas tank can hold about 11.1 gallons. It’s made so that drivers can feel like they’re racing, but it doesn’t cost too much.

Interior

Inside, the sports seats are made of leather and have a trim that looks like suede. The black interior has red stitching to make it stand out. The GR logo is printed on the headrests, the floor mats, and the button that starts the car. Aside from that, the steering wheel has leather padding and shift paddles, which make the inside look and feel better.

The GRS also has a built-in 7″ touch screen that is ready for both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. One of the most important parts of the GR-S is its interior. This is what makes it different from other cars in the Vios series.

Exterior

The Toyota Vios GR-S has 17-inch alloy wheels with 205/45R17 tires, which are the biggest of all the cars in the series. It has a bumper in front that looks like the one on the Toyota GR Yaris and a diffuser on the back bumper.

The GR-S can be purchased in either Platinum White Pearl or Red Mica Metallic. Even though the outside looks more like the GR Yaris than the other Vios cars, it still has four doors. There is also a fully functional back seat and trunk, which may be better for families.

Conclusion

So, we can all agree that the most affordable option is the Toyota Vios GRS, which can compete with cars that cost about three times as much. It runs well and looks good on the inside and outside. Our friends in Malaysia can and should think about getting a GR-S as their next car.
